Supply & Service Contract Compliance & Affirmative Action Programs

For companies with Supply & Service Contracts exceeding $50,000, it is mandatory to develop and implement written Affirmative Action Programs (AAPs) for each facility with 50 or more employees. These AAPs must be updated annually and include comprehensive statistics and workforce assessments in compliance with Executive Order 11246, the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974 (VEVRAA), and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

AAPs should encompass:

  • Workforce Analysis
  • Job Group Analysis
  • Availability Analysis
  • Progress Towards Goals
  • Other essential diversity reports and statistics

Additionally, contractors must actively list all job openings and engage with community referral sources to attract qualified minority, female, veteran applicants, and individuals with disabilities.

For detailed guidance on compliance, refer to the [US Department of Labor’s - Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs] (https://www.dol.gov/agencies/ofccp). Their website outlines the enforcement jurisdiction and provides resources for contractors who prefer to manage these obligations internally.  You can also review our Blog posts on these related topics.
